Colour Frit

Frit is essentially a crushed form of colour rod.  It is sifted through various screens to yield like-sized particles.  Frit is laid out on the marver and the hot glass is rolled in it to pick it up.  The hotter the glass is, the more frit will adhere to it.  It may take several reheats to get the density and coverage required.
