The Jacks

One of the jacks' primary purpose as a tool is to create a "jack-line".  The jack-line is an indentation formed in the glass, marking the spot for where the glass will be broken off when it is transferred to the punty.  Jacks can also be used to "open" a vessel once it has been transferred to the punty.  They can be used on the inside or outside of the piece to cool and shape.
